No. 40 Abrasive Compound

A mild alkaline base, general-purpose abrasive compound made with iron-free white aluminum oxide. Gives long, aggressive and sustained cut on even the hardest metals. Results in light color and yields a relatively smooth surface finish.

A very mild alkaline fine-finishing compound for fast reduction of micro-inch readings on relatively smooth surfaces. The abrasive constituent is a slightly coarse abrasive flour for use in vibratory finishing. Excellent for restoring virgin metal color in short time cycles after longer abrasive cut-down runs or in preparation for burnishing. In controlled velocity equipment or vibrators, No. 42 is excellent for light deburring with good finish on all metals or alloys.
